Zetangole™, Play the Game

Download the free PC Zetangole Game Client (Requires a webcam and Java > 1.5)

Zetangole faces, the first Zetangole game, can be played with any of a number of client programs. A version for the Palm Treo 650 smart phone (also compatible with the 600 and 700p) is available through PalmGear, Handango and Clickgamer. We are pleased to offer a free Java-based PC game client for your playing pleasure. Download it here. More will come, of course, and one is bound to have just the looks to please you most. If you would like to author and contribute a game client, please do contact us.

Contributed Zetangole game clients will be made available to Internet users for free, possibly as open-source if the author so wishes. We have a strong preference for client software written in Java and will need to be persuaded to distribute clients written in any other language. (Part of the reason for this is that we only have the free resources to compile and run Java code). Before distribution, we will try to check all contributed software to ensure it is clean, safe and most of all DOD (Dead-on-Deletion).

To play Zetangole™ Faces, you currently need an Internet connected PC and a webcam. We have obviously not tested all webcams out there. But as of this writing, we know that at least the Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks works fine. We bought ours for about $39 at Fry's electronics.

You also need to have installed the Java Run-time Environment 1.5 or later and the Java Media Framework, JMF2.1.1e, in order to play the game. Although earlier versions of the JRE might work, the look and feel of the game is not guaranteed to appeal.
